On Monday, Itlay beat Hungary by 2-0 and has placed his position in the final four. Itlay secured his place in the Nations League semi-final by goals from Federico Dimarco and Giacomo Raspadori.
Itlay finished the league with 11 points, one point above Hungary, who needed to win this match to secure a place in their first Nations League semi-finals. Previously, the European champion, Itlay, missed out on a place at the World Cup in Qatar, but they got a chance in this league.
Raspdoori scored the first goal in the 27th minute by taking advantage of a mistake by the defense of Hungary.
After the break, Hungary got many chances through shots by Loic Nego, Callum Styles, and captain Adam Szalai to equalize the score, but goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma stopped them.
The midfielder Dimarco scored the second goal for Itlay and sealed the Nations League semi-final place for Itlay.
In next year’s finals tournament of the Nations League, Itlay joined Croatia and the Netherlands, while on Tuesday in Braga, Portugal and Spain will play for the last available spot.
